Southport Island Musicfest is back!

Now in it's 4th year, these three outdoor concerts take place on Southport Island in June, July and August, shining a spotlight on our stunning island, inviting neighbors and friends to make timeless memories, and raising funds for much needed community programs. 

The line-up for Summer 2026 is a celebration through the decades and features these family-friendly Maine acts:

June 17 - 80's Dance Party w/The Awesome
July 15 - 70's Soul/Motown Review w/Higher Ground & Julia Gagnon
August 12 - 90's hits w/Champagne Casonova
Each concert is an all-ages event which takes place in a beautiful oceanside setting at sunset on the lawn of The Newagen Seaside Inn. 100% of ticket sale proceeds to go towards supporting Southport Island Association Community Initiatives.

  • June 17th - The Awesome (80's)

    Ladies, dust off your pumps and legwarmers. Guys, stuff yourself back into those leather pants. The Awesome means business. They're everything you loved about the 80s, even the things you didn't want to admit that you loved. You'll definately get Footloose with The Awesome to the sounds of: Hall and Oates, T'pau, Wang Chung, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, INXS, Mr. Mister, Nu Shooz, Peter Gabriel, Madonna, Human League, Wham, Tears for Fears, Whitney Houston... and the list keeps growing!

  • July 15th - Higher Ground (70's)

    Higher Ground, a tribute to the Superstars of Soul, is New England's premier Vintage Soul band. With 20 band members, including 14 lead vocalists, Higher Ground delivers a diverse setlist of iconic songs from Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Prince, the Temptations and many more.  Since forming in Portland in 2023, Higher Ground has brought the soul to capacity crowds across Maine. We are honored and excited to make our debut at the Southport Island Musicfest 2026.


  • Aug 12th - Champagne Casanova (90's)

    Portland, Maine based Champagne Casanova got into the music business for all of the right reasons: they love to put on a show, connect with their audience and have a great time!. Specializing in Modern Pop, ’90’s Alternative, Indie-Rock, Pop-Punk and Country, Champagne Casanova covers a wide selection of the songs that you want to hear. featuring songs by Tom Petty, Shania Twain, The Proclaimers, Whitney Huston, the Cranberries, Chris Stapleton, Fall Out Boy and so many more! Get ready to dance!

How Does the Southport Island Association Give Back?

The Southport Island Association is a 501c3 organization that raises and distributes funds to support a variety of community needs.
Last year, SIA was able to provide over $42,000 in charitable donations to our community. Providing educational scholarships to learners of all ages, offering confidential assistance for a variety of specific individual needs, enhancing the holiday season for families on the island, as well as supporting vital community assets such as Southport Central School, the Food Pantry, New Hope for Women MidCoast, Life Flight,  the Ambulance Fund and many more are some ways that SIA gives back. Our fundraising goals continue to be ambitious in order to make profoundly positive impacts within our community for generations to come.
